How can I unglitch my sims 3 baby?

I just adopted a baby in sims three, and it is glitched, it's little picture isn't showing up, and when the camera is at the right angle, it looks like an adult. at every other angle, it's streaking across the screen. I would prefer it to be a normal baby lol. so how do I fix this.
