Detaching a Summer Love...please help?

so i recently met this guy & we've been texting for a little while. We've hung out a few times & he's let me know he really likes me. Buuuut, he lives miles away & i'll be moving & starting school soon and this is going to move us farther apart. I like being around him & flirting and all, but am i wrong for just wanting a "summer love" or am i leading him on? because i really hate long distance relationships & when i start school i really don't want to mess up what could have been a great friendship. so how can I let him know i don't want a relationship when he is quickly becoming attached? please help because i need to do this sooner than later. thanks!
