Sims 3 Firefighter Glitch?

So my sims is in the firefighter career path and he is level 10. Everything has been fine so far( ive heard about the glitched) but today while working from home and emergency came up. i went to the house put out the fire and saved the people but my alarm is still going off? and i also have a little icon that says a fire is going on, you know how it will give you the option to "put out large house fire" with a thing that you click and it takes you directly to the house? how do i turn of the alarm and get rid of the icon?
