Whenever I play a game, the resolution gets'... glitched?

It doesn't happen to all games, but most online games. Whenever I play my resolution automatically switches and the whole game gets' centered offscreen, then when I try to ALT+TAB or hit the windows button, my whole computer resolution changes. However, whenever I restart my computer, it's back to normal, I'm wondering what's the problem...
